Access database in stored in temp folder ?

    Hi Experts,

A copy of open ACCESS file is stored in TEMP folder which is 'documents and settings\user\local settings\temp' folder.

The name of file is something like ~DF39CF.TMP

When I close ACCESS, this file disappears.

    Please let me know

    (1) Does this .tmp file contain all the data of the open access database ?

    (2) Is it possible to recover data from this file in any way ?

    Thanks everyone.

I think the TMP file is only for temporary working data, for example, when sorting a table, running a query, temporary file is created.

I don't think you can get any useful information from the TMP file.

    Thanks for the reply.
    (1) Is it possible to change the temporary folder ?
    (2) Is it possible to convert that file into ascii or any other readable format ?
    Thanks.
