    Lookup wizard

Any help please? I'm composing only my second ever access database and am struglling when using the lookup wizard in a form to show drop down option boxes (please excuse the basic language).

I have done a few of these in my both my 1st and 2nd database and these work fine but for some strange reason one of the boxes lets you drop down to see the options but you can't select an option. I've tried deleting the field and re entering onto the form but this doesn't alleviate the problem.

    Any advice?

    Thanks in advance.

That usually means you have the ComboBox ControlSource bound to a field that cannot be changed.

I'm not quite following you on this i'm afraid. Sorry but I'm quite new to access but very keen to learn all about it.

Nothing needs to be changed as such, just selected from the lookup wizard I have created. I have checked witha colleague and the lookup wizard is working fine.

Do you have anything in the ControlSource property of the ComboBox?

Thanks for all your help. I have been looking at the properties box (if thats what you mean?) and it looks the same as the ones that work

Is this form bound to a query? Can you open that query directly and change the field the cbo has as a ControlSource?
