    OrderBy Losing Criteria

I have a form based on a query which I am trying to sort by a last name field. The query links four tables together, but only one has a last name field. I added all four tables using the * option to add all fields in the table.

On the form properties, I set OrderByLoad to "Yes" and entered [Last Name] in the OrderBy field. This works however it seems that it loses the data when I make design changes to the form.

Do I need to add every field form the table that has [Last Name] and then sort by [Last Name] in the query, or is there a way to get the OrderBy field to retain the data I enter?

    Using 2007, BTW. Thanks.

I would do the sorting in the query and not by the form.
