Access 2003/2010 Backwards Incompatibility

I've been having a problem with my Access database. I have multiple computers accessing an Access DB that was created on Access 2003. A couple computers were upgraded to Access 2010 recently. The problem I'm experiencing is that computers with Access 2003 installed cannot view this database after a computer with Access 2010 installed makes changes to it- ie it simply won't open the database.

Is there a known issue with Access backwards compatibility? Are there any fixes available?

The database is being hosted off-site on an ISP running a shared Windows Server OS.
