    Storing PDF file in Access

Is there a way to store a PDF file in Access?

I want to be able to store the file and if needed print it on request.

The database needs to be portable so linking poses a difficulty.

do you have acc07? If so, have you tried the attachment option? If not, have you tried storing the hyperlink address as a string and using code to follow it when needed? I don't have much experience with this sort of thing, but the first thought that comes to mind would be to use one of Adobe's libs in the vba refs, if needed. If not, why not follow the link, send the print keys to the screen, then close the file?

that's sort of a hamhanded way to do it, sure, but it's a thought for you.

or, I suppose you could just use the API that's shown here: http://www.codeforexcelandoutlook.co...-files-in-vba/

    Thanks Adam.

Changed project over to Access 2007 and used the attachment attachment data type. Works great now!
