Unhappy Access form combo box value changing

    Hello there,

Am a newbie to Ms access forms,

i have a form in which there are two combo boxes.
one combo box filters value according to the value selected in the other combo box. and these values are stored in a table. when i select a value in one combo box the 2nd combo box gives me the correct value ,and saves the form and the record gets updated in the table, so far so good . now my problem is when i close and reopen the form the value gets changed and in the first combo box the first value in the drop down is selected and not the value which was stored earlier.

    how to rectify this.

The Control Source of the Combo Box should be the newly stored value for the appropiate Table.

Sould this not be clear then please post a copy of the Control Source.
