Use cmd button to link to new form with related data

Not really sure how to word this but here goes. This should be really simple but I just cannot get my ead around it.
I have a main form called projects. This contain a small about of information on each project. I have another form "data" which is the associated information about the data which will relate to a project. I have created a 1:M realtionship.

In the project form I want to be able to search for a specific project (which I have working) and once on the required record click on a button which opens up a new form with the data records which relate back to that project.
    Any help greatly appricated.

Thank you for the quick reply. That sounds ideal. I will give it a try and let you know how I get on.

It worked and it was so simple compared to some of the other examples I have seen, that I couldn't seem to get working. Thanks again
