    Enter Parameter Value

    Hello,

I am new to this forum and while having some training under my belt relatively new to Access.

I have made changes (altered names, added columns, updated data etc.)to the fields in the Contacts table of an existing database that I am updating and now my forms & queries wont work. I keep getting a " Enter Parameter Value" pop up box.

I have all of the Name AutoCorrect boxes checked.....what have I done wrong?

    Thanks!

Somewhere is a reference to a field name that no longer exists. It could be in an expression in query. You just have to track it down.

A third party software that is helpful is Fisher's Find and Replace. Costs about $50. Saved my sanity a few times.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

In addition to Queries, per se, it could be in the SQL Statements used for the RowSource of Comboboxes, Listboxes or in the RecordSource for Forms.

In addition to a Field that no longer exists, it could be that you've simply misspelled a Field name.

Thank you so much June7! I downloaded the 30 day free trial of Fisher's Find and Replace and it worked perfectly! I would never have found the errors otherwise. Rest assured I will be registering my copy for future.

I would say you checked all of the boxes.

This is a known cause of corruption.... I would uncheck all of the AutoCorrect boxes.

(In the past, this "Feature" has also been called "Auto-corrupt".)
