    Yes. I know what's happening here; Two fields out of the three have a value input by the button and trying to exit without completing the record, albeit a record I don't want, throws the error up.

    I'll take a good look at how best to redesign it for my purpose.

    I really think you could avail yourself of this event driven software to make things more automatic.

    I take your point, I'll take a good look at how this DB could be done better, currently it's useable and input is now a quicker process than it was.

    As to your issue in post #26, you do know that hitting the Escape key twice will undo any changes to the current record, right?

    And as I've said before, if you can find a way to use the DefaultValue instead of the Value then you will not Dirty the record and cause the error you are seeing.
