    hey Gina,

I looked at your database and I just wanted to know everything worked...
You put a requery on the transmission cost - why should you do that and not on the Total Cost.

Also was the only other change you made was the VBA code under subform1 for On Current?

I copied that code into my database and I don't get the #Name error anymore but it is still not updating the field with the total amount from subform2. I have put a requery on the Total field there?

Should I be doing anything else?

I looked at what Gina did and that is what I want but I also wanted to know what exactly she did. I noticed that she added a VBA code and Requery. She added a Requery on the transmission cost field so I want to know if this Requery drives the Total field to be updated in the main form as InstallCost?

The one labeled TestV3.zip takes into account if only one form is open. I added .IsLoaded to account for that. You should be able to take that (look in the VB Editor) and move it over to your database.
