Open to Ideas --- Very frustrated ----

I found a spot in query design where I can set the data Format to "Fixed" and 6 decimal places and the problem is still there.

I have 25 similar fields. Only 3 I am having problems with. For some reason they are auto converting to %.

After I run the query the problem is a till there. I tried rebooting Access and same problem.

I see in your query picture, that the numbers you circled are displayed in scientific notation. In that respect, they are not showing any mathematical error. Change the display setting of the query to percent, or a fixed number of decimal places.

Any idea why I have to change the 3 out of 25 that are working right the first time?
Why do they work on your machine and not on mine? I am playing with the same mdb I posted.

Does it work if you change the format/display setting of the query?

    Followup

Sometimes but not constantly example in the above expr3: will work if in the query design I change the format to fixed and 6 decimal places but expr4: does not work when I make the same changes to it.

While fighting with expr4 I notice expr3: has returned to it scientific expression. even when the format is set to fixed.

The next step was to make a table and them create a report from the new table.

I use make Table query. The query results look good for expr3: but not expr4: when looking at query view. When I check the new table the expr3: and expr4: are both displaying scientific results. In the report I change the format for exp3: and exp4 to percent the results are both very hi like around 500%.

Can you make a query using the attached mdb and save and attach in your your version? So I can see if by using your version on my machine the results get converted to scientific equation.

Try and use the "query count and sum"

You said on your machine everything worked fine without making any format changes.

I stripped out the redundant data and queries.

    I got it.
    Your query works great.
I added a expr: and it works in yours.
I added a report and it works in your
I am now going to try to incorporated it into my master.

Thanks for all the patients and and help.
