I've been working on something similar so I imported some parts of it into a new database.
It's only a small part of it but demonstrates using fso to manage files.
Might give you some ideas.

Do you suggest the import and export function should be tied to by the same table or another for export linking to import?
Import:
Implement structured document storage: o Dedicated database fields for permit documents (PDF/Word) o Dropdown selection for document type (e.g., DHL docs, Phytosanitary, Import Authorization) o Bulk document upload feature for multiple related permits
Export:
Current Issues: No centralized system for storing export data. No linkage between export documentation and import records. Missing tracking of essential export details. Proposed Solutions: Create a dedicated export management section in the database. Mandatory fields: o Variety, Clone, Requestor, Permit No, Validity Date o Date Shipped, Destination Country, Material Type, Quantity Implement a document repository similar to import storage. New Feature: Export-Import Linking Create an import-export traceability module that automatically links records based on batch numbers or permit references
