True but don't forget that APIs correctly converted will work in both 32-bit & 64-bit Access (A2010 onwards)

How can I tell whether I'm running 32-bit or 64-bit Access? The application was developed about 15 years ago. I purchased a new laptop that I believe has a 64 bit operating system and the application will not run on it. Therefore, I run the Home Budget Management System on an old desktop that I believe has a 32 bit operating system on it. I just want to be able to run the database application on the new laptop.

Absolutely NOTHING to do with the operating system bitness. Both June7 and I have confirmed that. This laptop is 64bit windows and I run a 32bit 2007 Access, with no issues at all. One DB is still a MDB.
Did you install your version of Access that was on the old computer on the new computer, or did you buy new/upgrade ?

On Access 2007 it is Orb/Access Options/Resources/About. Look for something similar.

In Access 2010 > File > Help > read the 'About Microsoft Access' specs on right panel

Both June7 and I have confirmed that
As did I 14 posts ago. No one even knows what version this was created in 10 years ago. I covered that too.

    Finally.

So you either uninstall Access and resinstall the 32 bit version, or amend it for 64 bit.
Going on this thread, I would choose option 1.

So you were correct, you had to adjust for 64bit, but because of Access NOT Windows.

OK! Finally! It works! I had to uninstall Microsoft 365 and install the 32 bit version. Now my HBMS app works just fine. Thanks to all of you for your assistance (and great patience)!
