Typing within a listbox will just register 1 character and take you to first item beginning with that character. Continue typing characters and focus sequentially moves to rows beginning with each character. Don't see a way to get functionality you want with a listbox.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Hmmm. That's not the db you uploaded in Post#1. The junction table is empty in that db, so it's not possible to show anything in the right listbox. The combo box selection does nothing visible in the listboxes. I'm at a loss in what I can do for you.

Wow... I'm amazed, below is the process to add billets to working groups.

    Step 1:
    - Open form
    - Select Working A
    - Drag over, e.g., 5 "Available" billets
    - Click on "Right Arrow"
    - 5 billets appear in the "Assigned" listbox
    - Now, check out junction table... it will show 5 records

    //

    Step 2:
    - Re-open form
    - Select WG B
    - Drag across e.g., 10 "Available" records
    - Click on "Add To"
    - Check on junction table... now 15 records are listed

It can't get more simple than that... just wish I had your Search capability for the "Available" billets.

That's all. Attached is the same db now with 15 sample records in the junction table.

OK. I just couldn't reconcile an empty junction table with the images you posted. You wanted me to input the billets.
I have merged the functionality of the combo box and the search by keystroke text box:

davegri - I posted a new (related) thread for the listboxes. I'd certainly welcome if you could have a peek. Thank you!
