Sorry,, still not clear, you want to enter '01' in the control at the top of the form and change the rev value from 0 to 1 in the bottom section - and also change the status from C to UR. This thread has been going on a bit - what is the connection between the recordsources to the top part of the form and the bottom part of the form. And what does 'add to a new record' mean - which record? top half? bottom half? how is that record created?

The first revision is for the tblTransmittal(Top of the form) and the second revision is for the tblDrawing(Bottom Section). Every Transmittal composed of one or more drawings. I design the form based on my excel form template.

    This is the Status Legend
A & B - Approved - no need to resubmit (but there is a time that even if the drawing is approved it needs to resubmit again because of some changes.)
    C - Revise & Resubmit - need to resubmit
D - Not Approved - need to resubmit
UR - Under Review - waiting for the client review it takes 10 to 14 days

The status will change according to the flow of documents.
