    Hi June7 I think I have it figured out but If I could get you to look at it.. I am attaching the one that I got to work. I might still need to fix a few things but I am thinking it works.     Dynamic parameterized query is one way to go and it certainly seems to work correctly. I just prefer not to use parameterized queries, dynamic or static. Too many times I (as developer, never users) want to open query object independent of form. If I did use a parameterized query, think instead of referencing an object I would put the SQL statement in form RecordSource.

    I am still learning so I don't understand how to do what you said in last post. What SQL statement would I put in form record source .

    The SQL statement from the query object. Open query in design view, switch to SQL view. Copy/paste the sql statement into the form RecordSource.

    Or remove reference to query object from RecordSource and click the ellipsis (...) in the property to open the query builder directly.
