    If Access is keeping track of certain information, why can't they allow us access to the same information? Why pick and choose what they will give us and what they won't? For instance, macros, no data available except dates, whereas tables and queries have a lot more information available to us. The data on Documenter is there, so why can't we get to it?

    The hardest part of design is trying to imagine what a user would do!

    That is easy. A user will do anything and everything possible plus two other things on top of that. On the other hand, a developer is responsible and will work on collaborations using standard operating procedures outlined by the team leader/senior developer.

    How about a function which uses DAO to loop through all the tables and all the fields, then save the schema as an XML or JSON document.
