    Don't think that is possible with SMTP. I believe you need to use MAPI protocol. If you find some DLL files that will work on W7 for CDO and it supports MAPI, let me know. I believe CDO is being replaced with something else and I have not played around with it. The replacement may be an option. Really just guessing though..

    The problem is everyone here is running vista (or windows 7) and runtime or office 2010 - I don't see us upgrading any time soon either.

    I'm thinking of just going back to using outlook to do the task as the staff that use that have professional and the people that use runtime don't need the forms - so I can deactivate the outlook library before I give them their front end copy...
