Thanks for the response. The unbound text box "Path" displays the complete path to the picture folder - mostly a leftover debuging tool. The text box "message" is used to report unfound Picture Folder search results - I do not like pop message boxes. I do not think any field on the Form "Gallery" is editable, nor should it be.

Reading between the lines "If you must use mdb file..." gives me the feeling that there is a conversion process I need to explore! could you point me in the right direction? Also since my #159 problem does not appea to be in the db, it must mean that my copy of Access 2010 corrupted, or? Is reloading Office 2010 (my source for Access 2010) seem like mynext step? TIA Phil

Popup message boxes have their place. You might be surprised how often a user will not notice the change of content in a textbox but an 'in your face' popup can't be missed or ignored.

An mdb can be upgraded to accdb by creating a new accdb file and importing everything from the mdb.

See what happens with the upgraded file and then maybe try reinstall if still have an issue.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Thank you so very much, I converted the mdb to an accdb and the Form Mystery Record 159 problem went away! Phil
