As Allan mentioned, it could all be in one file, or it can be split (since non-Access databases can also be used for the data). It would be the file the users actually ran, and would likely have the same extension: mdb, mde, accdb or accde. They may need to be looking on the user's PC instead of a server, since in a split scenario, the file containing the forms and reports is typically on the PC.

They would need to open the FrontEnd and look at the Linked Table Manager. Don't make any changes, just look.
How would they get to the front end and find the linked table manager?.. where is that in the menu system for access?.. what are we looking for in the linked table manager etc?
