any link you can define through VBA you can define through a query as well, if you provide a sample of your database (make a copy, strip out any information you don't want known, put in dummy values, zip it up and upload it) I would have a better idea of your issue.

I got it. I had the VBA routine add the tolerance values into new columns made into the table, then used conditional formatting based on those.
