Seems like code (ASP in my case) should be able to tell a null to become a zero with an If/Then statement or something. Of course, I'm an intermediate-advanced beginner in this, so I don't know.![]()
So then this instability obviously affects all checkboxes, whether it's multiple or just one or two.... meaning one should never use a checkbox in their database for querying from a website?![]()
Are there any good online resources where I can learn about this? I've been unsuccessfully searching for days and none of my books cover this.
UPDATE:
I finally came across a couple articles:
http://bytes.com/topic/access/answer...heckbox-0-null.
Does this mean that if I change the database checkbox field to format as true/false, I can use the checkbox?
http://www.access-programmers.co.uk/...d.php?t=158279
Again, if I understand this article, I can change the database field's format to true/false......and it will read unchecked as false and not null?
I'm starting to rethink my plan altogether to just whittle down subscriptions to six total, significantly down-sizing checkboxes. I have so much to do still and this is becoming a huge hindrance in progress. :/
