I'm sure it must be something simple, but all data in a Form in the detail section is visible in Design view but when I switch to Layout or Form view, it's blank.
Thanks in advance for help!!

Is the Data Entry property set to YES? It should be set to NO if you want to see records entered previously.
Thanks for the reply. THe Data Entry was set to no. The Header and Footer show, just nothing in Detail. If I change the default background from white to a color, the entire panel is a solid color - as if it's in the foreground, hiding the labels and data fields.
Look in the property sheet - Format section, near the bottom of the list is a "Display When" those items may be set to Print Only. Try changing this setting.
I just re-read your initial post and something confuses me. What do you mean by:
How can data show in design view?Originally Posted by CASmith

Does your recordsource for the form actually return any records?
If it does not then this is classic behaviour for Access.
I probably wasn't real clear in explaining, but when I'm in design view, everything looks normal - labels and fields are visible. When I go to Form or Layout view, only the Header and Footer are visible - the labels and fields are not. I have 3 records in the table and just noticed that in Form view it does not indicate any records are available. I created a new form using the Form Wizard and the form behaves properly - everything shows.
I created the problem form in Form Design and once I had everything positioned, viewed it in Form View and this problem surfaced.
pg13Reader - Display When is set to "Always"
BobLarson - Good point. The field name and fields are visible. It looks like it should look until I switch to Form or Layout View, then everything in the "details" section of the form fails to show. If I drag a field to the Header and view it in Form view, it displays there.
Well, it seems to be a bit of a mystery. Any chance you can upload a copy (with bogus data, of course) so we can look further?
