output file name

Hi all,

I've set up a report that allows me to generate invoices that are inteded to be sent to customers.

The reports generate succesfully in pdf format, the only minor issue is that, when i go to export the invoice to email as attachment, the default filename is the report name, how can i change the file name without needing to rename the file manually.



The file name if possible will be, customer name - invoice number - week number all of which can gathered from a table.

Is this at all possible to do simply as i have no idea how to do that coding stuff.

I presume you are using Send To wizard. Apparently there is no flexibility with the wizard. Would need to use VBA code.

yeh im using the wizard,
i got my form in design view, add button, send report to...or what ever its called.

i know how to change the default output file name, from properties>caption

I don't understand your last post. Is the issue resolved? What does the form caption property have to do with report name?

issue not resolved unfortunately. without going into VBA as you said.
i changed the report chaption to partially what i need it to be, so now when i export the report to file, the filename is the caption name instead of the report name.
