    Completely new to Access

I am taking an Access 2010 class through a university. I have never used Access before this class and am feeling a little overwhelmed. The text that we are using is Access 2010 Inside Out and while it is a very comprehensive book it does give you the step by step activities that you would normally find in a course text book. Does anyone have any suggestions for any additional material I can purchase that gives a more step by step approach to learning Access 2010?

You mean it does NOT give step by step guidance? I don't know any books to recommend, haven't used any in a long time. I suggest you visit book store. Try a used book store. Even Access 2007 references would be close enough for the basics. There's always Access for Dummies to fall back on!

I would check the internet before purchasing... there are a TON of tutorials, web sites, support sites, etc that will give you the same kind of info for free. Visit a library, grab a DVD tutorial, etc.

    Good luck!
