Is there any way to change a field name in a table and have it propagate thru queries, forms, reports etc. Right now it messes everything up when I try it. It used to be a big problem but I thought MS had incorporated this into Access.
Thanks

This is a real problem. But, if you open the related objects in design view, immediately after the change of table field name, then the change will reflect on those objects automatically.
For example: If you open the Query created on that Table in design view, immediately after the change on the table then the change will take place automatically. If there are other Queries on the first query then open that Query in design view after the first Query and others in that order.
If you have a report on that Query then you can open that report in design view after the query is refreshed the change and so on.
At least this method can avoid direct changes manually.
Looks Like it worked. Had to do a couple of manual changes but not to serious. I still thought Microsoft had fixed this issue a couple of years ago. Am I delirious or was this true. Either way, thanks for the assistance......
