Problem trying to update Jet service pack

I’m trying to check that I have the latest Jet service pack. When I type ?DbEngine.Version into the debug window, it shows 3.9. So I went to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/e...displaylang=en for the Jet 4.0 Service Pack but when I run the EXE file, it says “Setup has detected the service pack of this system is newer than the update you are applying. There is no need to install this update.” What am I doing wrong? Thank you for any help.

In my A2K3, I typed the same thing. The response was 3.6.

In the VBE, I clicked on HELP in the menu bar, then selected "About Microsoft Visual Basic". In the dialog box, click on the "System Info" button.

In the System Info window, look for "Office 2003 Applications" - click on the "+" to open up the tree. Click on the "+" in front of "Microsoft Office Access 2003", then click on "Summary".

Look in the right hand pane for "Jet Version". In my system, it shows 4.0. Oddly enough, when I looked at "Jet core components", it shows the path as "Not Available".........

BTW, it also shows I have Access Version 11, Build 8321

IIRC, Jet 4.0 is the default for A2K3....... but I could be wrong
