Searching for reference OFFOWC.DLL

I'm a newbie, so please forgive me if I sound confused...

We have migrated from our old Win 10 PC to a new PC running Win 11.

The old PC was running an Access 2019 DB.

On the new PC I tried to run the DB as is (just dropped the old DB onto the new PC), and it does open and I can see the data tables.

However, I keep getting the message "Searching for reference OFFOWC.DLL" and the date fields don't populate, throwing an error message #Name.

I've tried to research and correct it, but nothing I have tried works.

Any help or direction is appreciated here.



Should I migrate to a new version of Access? If I do, will my old DB import and work correctly?

Or, should I hire a developer to fix the DB?

I'm really at a loss and need help.

Go into the VBA IDE and then Tools/References.
What comes up as missing?

I have 2019 myself and do not have that file on my computer.
What version is on the new computer? Is that 32 or 64bit? What bitness is your 2019 on the old computer.

I can't find that file on my computer either. It would be interesting to know what library reference is missing.

I opened mdb from that older thread. Get that missing reference error when opening VBA editor.
Tools>References shows: MISSING: Microsoft Office XP Web Components
Makes sense since later versions of Access dropped web interface.
I simply unchecked the reference and then Debug>Compile without issue.
So, Gary, do you really need this library?
