Form to Query - Data Type

Hi,

I have a form linked to a query where I type in a number and a date and then I want the query to use them.

I have designed a query that takes the data in fine, when it is all set as general.



When I set the field on the form to number then the query shows the related field as blank (changing the query field to number also doesn't seem to change anything), same thing with the date field.

I am sure it is something basic but I haven't really uses access for a decade and I am a bit lost! Any help would be great.

it's is hard to guess without seeing what you have done so far (upload your db).

When I try to attach it says file size is too large, is there something else I can do to upload?

compress it to .zip and upload the zip file.
please mention which form name you are having problem with.

I am looking at frmRPCreate which ties into qryItemList.

In this state it works. If I try to set the quantity field on the form to Number, or set the Due Date field to Date is where the issues arrise.

I get an "invalid file" error trying to open your zip folder. Did you use Windows Compression?

Yes, just Send To - Compressed File. When I download the previous attachment it become invalid also so trying again

EDIT : Same issue with these. Will try something else!

Me too. Added more characters to get past the stupid character count limit.

Thanks, but I still can't extract it, says file is invalid.

there is problem with attaching .zip to this site (i guess).
all your .zip files (and zip from other threads), when
i extract them it says it is corrupt.

if you will notice the zip has suffixed fixed on it.
since all the zip is corrupt, i used Remo Repair Zip to
repair all zips that i download.

you should find suitable repair tools for
all corrupt zip.

I've never had issue attaching zip folder. And downloading is usually not an issue.

I also use Remo to fixed the corruption.
