Not even changing the commas to semicolons worked! After doing that and importing, I checked the field in my table and it was blank for any row where there was more than one value. Very odd as I would have bet that was going to be a workaround.

If you save the Excel file as an Excel File and not CSV

Then carry out a normal Import you end up with the correct data.

Thanks all, saving as an excel file did the trick. A minor pain but not a huge issue.

And thank you for the text qualifier link; I wasn't getting to that screen because I'm using a macro to import the tables.

Is a macro not able to use an import spec then?
