Current Database options altered by some user action or error

What action or error can causes these effects (all 3 of them,on 2 different databases in 2 different servers):
The DisplayForm was missing
DocumentWindow Options had changed from "Tabbed Documents" to"Overlapping Windows"
Themes (colors, etc) had beenchanged

I haven't used themes but the first 2 are connected to the database, not the user or computer. I suspect they can all be changed in code, I'm sure the first 2 can be. I can't imagine an error could change them, but a user could.

Thank you for your response.
When it happened the first time, I had also thought that the user must have done something. But, when the same problem (loss of Display Form, changed Document Options and changed theme - all three in each instance) occurs in the same way for three different users using three different databases in two different locations, it looks more like some kind of error.

For the theme change, I can't even find the theme that it gets changed to (I can replace that theme back to the one the database had be using). I might add that before this problem came up, I had not called for any specific theme - I was just using whatever was standard for MS Access.

Could it be that something happens when I modify the database (I do my development on Access 2016; 2 users have Access 2013, and one user has Access 2010)?

I would appreciate any more thoughts on this!

Thank You!

My guess is that you used a theme to develop with that the others don't have (four were added in version 1902). It is usually safest to develop for the oldest version you have, which means you need to know the limitations. Since you split your db's into front and back ends we can rule out that everyone shares the same db and is inadvertently altering the design because it's incompatible for them, yes?

Thank you for your response.

I realize now that I did not adequately describe the situationin which the problem arises. I need to add that, in the case of each databaseaffected, only one or two of several users experiences this issue. In eachlocation, and for each of 3 databases, several users use frontend access to samedatabase (each on their own computer, and each with their own MS Access frontend). For one location, all of the MS Access versions are 2010, and for theother location, all of the MS Access versions are 2013.

Is it possible that I have used some fragment of code thatsomehow removes the Display Form AND changes Document Window Option from"Tabbed Documents" to "Overlapping Windows"? I certainlyhave not used any code to address either one of these – I just selected them in"Access Options" for the "Current Database".

Has anyone else ever had a problem similar to this?

Thank You!

I've been using Access and been active on various Access help forums for over 20 years. I've never experienced this problem and I don't recall ever hearing of anybody having it on a forum. It is a head scratcher, that's for sure. I'll poke around when I get a minute.

When you say the users are in different locations, are you using a wired LAN or are you using Remote Desktop over a WAN ?
