How do I print from an old accdb file?

    Win11, Access 365

I have an old accdb file. I can view the tables and reports.

When I attempt to print a report, Access 365 hangs. The Task Manager shows "Suspended".

I can terminate Access using the Task Manager, and reopen the accdb file. But I can never print a report.

Want to provide db for analysis? Follow instructions at bottom of my post.

Are you able to import all objects to a new Access file? Does report then print?
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

The accdb file was created more than ten years ago. What is odd is that I can view the table and reports. Everything looks fine. I just cannot print the reports.

Try creating a new report, just as a test.
    Decompile and recompile?

Any idea why Access 365 does not allow me to print? Or maybe it is Win11?

A member on another site is having issues opening a form, but only on 365, fine on 2019.
Check for any recent updates re Office or even Windows.

The solution is --- Print Preview [tab] > Data [section] > PDF or XPS > Save as type > pdf. Thanks to mike60smart.

I would not call that a solution, but a workaround?
You should be able to print without involving creating a pdf.

Do you have a valid default printer setup on your workstation?

To clarify, I was striving to create pdf docs to store on my laptop. Those pdf docs can be emailed to multiple people on different days.

When I print the contents of Word or Excel, I can print to a printer, or print to a pdf file.

Access is different. Access let's a person print only to a printer [this does work]. From what I recall, Access used to allow a person to print to a pdf file.

Creating a pdf is as described in my previous post.

Correct, Access should just print to any print option, be it printer or Microsoft Print to PDF or similar.
I would try a repair, or just stick with your workaround.
