Preview caused post to be lost

I just sent about half an hour carefully composing a post complete with a screenshot. When I click on Preview Post, the page hung and everything was lost. Did I do something wrong or is there something wrong here?

I just tried Preview here and it worked Ok.

There is usually a restore button at the lower left of your post if you leave the page and return. Not sure if that includes previewing or not.
If you attempted to paste an image in your post then that is wrong and might have caused your issue. See How to Attach Files at the top of the page.

When I hit Preview, the screen went blank. There were no buttons of any kind. I tried to restore, but nothing worked. I see that it saves periodically, so after logging back on, I tried to to find a restore button. No luck.

I did paste an image, but it was using a link to PostImage, so that should have been OK.

It might have been the fault of this crappy MSI laptop I bought. It screws up all the time. I am going to get rid of it as soon as I can.

I did just encounter another little problem, which I think is the fault of vBulletin. I had this post ready to go, but clicked the +Reply to Thread button just above this post instead of the Post Quick Reply below. It threw my post away without any warning. No biggie. I'll be more careful in the future.

It might be a good idea to copy everything before you start clicking around, just in case and until you see how this forum software behaves. It's a bit antiquated IMO.

Good suggestion. Yes, it is antiquated. I was going to suggest they upgrade to Xenforo, but that is probably a complex task.
