Password or permission not allowing access to data

    Greetings All,
For many years we have used a program that stored our data in an MDB file of approx. 80Mb size. It is stored on Server 2003 and used on XP desktop.
The program was developed by Camelotsoftware.com who from memory were part of a company called Vanguard in Texas.

Last week we had a glitch in our system and the program would not open on XP. We also tried opening direct in the server but it would not open either. Camelot/Vanguard have gone out of business and we are now unable to open the file to extract the data to install in a new program.

Originally, we were told it was password protected. After using Systools Access Password Recovery tool we found there was no password but instead an Access message came up saying
“You do not have the necessary permissions to use the xxxxx06052024-Data.mdb object. Have your system administrator or the person who created this object establish the appropriate permission for you”

Our computer guy has been unable to solve the issue. Can anyone help?
