    Open database missing option exclusive

To split my database I have to open it exclusive. At the open-button there should be an option open exclusive. But there is just open and no options at all.

You have to open from within Access. Open > Browse. Choose exclusive from the open drop down.

As I mentioned the problem is that there is NO drop down at all. Let alone 'Exclusive'.

You have no dropdown arrow on the Open button?

However I have never used any of those options, as I am the only person using the DB?
