Integrating Mobile Apps

I do a bit of tech support for a distribution business run around a 20+ year old Access system (but still under active development)


The drivers still rely on paper daily schedules and most customers pay cash.
Believe it or not my client though he is 100% credit worthy, never in debt etc is being turned away from his bank because they can't handle the cash!!!

So I am looking for some pointers of systems (like the Amazon, Evri delivery drivers have) also which can handle finance transactions - like credit card machines, all of which can be integrated into access, so that delivery routes can be uploaded and money in transaction can be downloaded on return (or live?)

Anyone know any likely starting points???

Access isn't sufficiently secure for managing credit card transactions. It would be potentially disastrous were the app to get compromised.
