SUb Form Visual Question

I have sub-form that displays data from query after user selects option from unbound combo box.

My question is, how do I set it so that there is not grey on side like sub-form show extra empty "rows"

For example, in my screenshot below there are 2 PartId that return, so I would like to only have 2 rows in the sub-form, but it seems that 11 are present due to grey on the left side (may have miscounted eyes are sleepy)

To display data from your 1 table you do not need a subform

How did you create this form?

In my prod DB - I have a combo box where the user will select a name, and the sub-form will display auto-filtered to that one name.

Is it possible to do this with your sample?

What if there is the potential for more than one result to be returned? Could the same set-up handle it?
