Form combo box won't align with other form controls (boxes)

    Hello,

I need to have a few combo boxes in a data entry form. One that I recall setting up previously by adding the lookup settings in the table connected to the form lines up correctly with other controls. Maybe it was simply luck, but I don't remember doing anything with the alignment.

Now I have a combo box that I created in the Form itself that is in a different position in the Form View, Layout View and Design View. I want the new control to line up with others, but the correct location in one view is not the correct position when I look at a different view.

Right now Layout View has this combo box rectangle almost in the correct location. Good enough, except that when I switch to Form View it's shifted off to the right, though at least not overlapping other boxes. In Design View the box in question is shifted up by 4 records and overlapping the existing box in that location.

This seems like it should be a basic issue, but I have searched and found no references to misalignment of boxes in Access forms.

    Thank you for your consideration.
    Eric

That combobox is within its own Layout group, all by itself. Remove the Layout: select the combobox > right click > Layout > Remove Layout. Now position it wherever.
