Retrieve value in second column based on the value of the first column inside a table

Hi,

I have two tables, one source table (table 1) and one table which collects specific info from multiple tables (table 2).

Table 2 has two columns which refer to data from table 1.


I want to achieve the following for these columns:

In the red column of table 2 I select a value from the dropdown window. This value refers to a value in table 1.
I now want the blue column in table 2 to automatically retrieve the corresponding value in table 1 from the same row as the one of the field in the red column I selected in the dropdown window.

Can anyone help me setup the formula for the blue column in table 2 to do this please?

You certainly don’t do this in a table. Use a query and join the two tables on the common field
