Problems adding a drop down box to report/query

I've been searching around all afternoon looking for a solution to my problem. I am attempting to make a query prompt (area) using a drop down box. This is what I have done:

• Created a form titled "AreaSelect"
• Added the drop down box to the form pointing to the table "area" so it lists all the areas.
• I named drop down "Area"
• I saved the form
• I opened it in entry mode and chose an area from the drop down box
• Went into my query and under the area criteria I typed

  Forms!AreaSelect!Area

• Ran the query but it keeps putting up the prompt Forms!AreaSelect!Area

I've tried saving and exiting out of access, and it keeps doing this. I have tried to recreate the query and form two times already yet I keep coming up with the same error. I know I spelled everything right because I've also checked that about 100 times. Any ideas?

Start by naming your control cboArea. Next, what is the SQL for the RowSource of the cbo and what is the bound column?
