How to Delete an Access Object in the Query Group

Hello All, I am using Access 2019 and created a query by mistake, is there a way to fully delete this object so it no longer shows in my object list down the left side of my program? I have been searching online but seem to only find how to Create a delete query which is not what I want. I am part of the Admins group, so I would assume I have permission to do everything.

You cannot simply select it and get rid of it by pressing delete? Or select, right click, choose 'delete'?
If not, maybe post a pic of what you see - unless you're getting some kind of error message, which certainly would help.

I would have thought that would be the first option as well but delete is grayed out. I have attached a couple of snapshots. I am currently logged in as bb

It's interesting that the query has (Replicated) after it's type description.
I think that only appears when a query is not local. Which may explain why you can't delete it.

The query properties say the query is replicated. Could it be the database you're working with is an older version using replication? Maybe the data master?

It's been my experience that you cannot open a replication database with anything newer than 2010 (or maybe 2013 at most).
Maybe the tables involved in the query are not Access tables? Not that I know much about them, but maybe they are replicated tables from a SQL Synapse Pool...

To create the "dont use" query, I right clicked on the query "Mix by Job" and clicked copy. I did this thinking I could change the input required from the user and get a query by date instead of job. Since it didnt work, I opened the design view for "dont use" and deleted any of the links I had to tables to see if it would let me get rid of it. The original database was created in access 2007 but since my copied query was done in access 2019, I wouldn't think that would prevent me from deleting it.

edit: The file is being accessed from a network resource. I had to create a shortcut and link the security file to the shortcut because the main database says I do not have the correct permissions if I try to open the main access database. One other thing to note is when I first open the database and look at properties for my queries they show (local) but after several seconds I check the properties again and it changes to replicated.

This security file is an .mdw? I never had to bother with Access Workgroup Information files too much when it was around and whatever I learned I've pretty much forgotten. Perhaps your permissions in that file are not as robust as you think (assuming that's what we're talking about). You might have the ability to create but not delete.

Thank you. I appreciate you bringing that up. Permissions were the issue, but not with the mdw file. With the database file I went to User and Group Permissions, selected "Query" from the Object Type: drop down. Made sure my user name and the query I wanted to delete was selected. Checked the Administer Box and hit apply. Closed the database file and after I reopened it I was able to delete.
