subform will not update/refresh unless I close Access and then re-open it

I was previously using Access V2003 in V2000 file format.


I recently installed the current version of Access by way of installing Office 365.

My primary form (formA), contains a subform (subB2)
The underlying table for subB2 is tableB.
subB2 presents a limited amount of data compared to formB2, which is also associated with tableB

Previously (in Access V2003), if I made an addition or change to formB2 and then went back to my main form (formA), the change would appear in the subform.
Now, the change only appears if I exit Access and then re-open it.

in the subform property, make sure:
the LInked MASTER FIELD/Link child field properties are set
filter=""
FILTER ON LOAD = true

if fails , try

FILTER ON LOAD = false

[isladogs]

Try requerying the subform after making any changes
