Just one drop-down box has red highlighted text that I didn't set

When I open up just this particular form, the starting text for the drop-down is red. Once something else is selected, the text returns to black. I haven't made any changes to text color on this page; so I have no idea why it started happening.

Has anyone had a similar experience or know the fix?

    Thanks

Either you have code on the Open, Load or Current (or perhaps some other) event that affects a property of the control, or you've got a setting in the property sheet that's doing it. The text doesn't look red in the pic; it's the background colour that looks red to me.

The only event happening is giving focus to that combo box. Background and text color is set to #FFFFFF.

I changed how the query sorts the page when it's opened, and for whatever reason, that fixed it. Very strange.

perhaps you have conditional formatting on the control.
