Memo Cell in form and report - autoheight

I am designing an invoice in a form and a report that contains a memo cell for the description of item sold

I want to have the width of the cell fixed, but to have the height grow if and when i need a second line in the invoice.

I have turned on all the can grow options for the cell and the group header, but i cannot get it to move onto a second line and have that second line displayed. Also, when i type a sentence in the cell in one long line, it also does not show what i have written onto a second line.

I have also tried using the vertical/horizotal anchors in the form and that does not help.

    Any idea?

The section (detail) CanGrow property needs to be True as well as the control. That feature only works in a report, not a form.

Forms put in a verticle scroll bar when needed.

Can I revive this thread? The scroll bar is not too bad an idea. I can't believe Access does not have this option on forms. It was available in versions of FileMakerPro ten years ago, a barely truly relational product.

Anyway, has anyone come up with a work-around? I have several needs on forms, not reports, for row height scalability in two databases I'm developing. It hurts my head that it's not merely a click in Properties.

I just learned that CanGrow/CanShrink works on form only when form is printed and since forms usually should not be printed ...

Otherwise, options are scroll bar or size the textbox to fit the longest data.
