On WinXP you can right click on the zip file and go down to properties and left click. Then there is a button to push that says "UnBlock". I don't know about Vista but I've seen a number of threads where there are some weird symptoms in Access. Is your system patch level up to date? Office 2007 SP1 and the HotFix that goes with it?

Arg. Well, still no luck. I think I'm going to take a short break from this project, heh.

If I ever figure out what the problem is I'll let you know.

Thanks so much for your help!

    Hey Katie,

Well, regardless of the cause, the new table in the database already shows the resulkts of the query and that should enable you to continue with removal of the records you want to be rid of.

And I see you're from Chch....my old stomping grounds

I'm sorry Katie. Service Pack 2 is now available for Office 2007. Maybe that will make a difference.

    Katie,
You should be aware that SP2 stops displaying the Description field in the Nav window. It is verified by MS and there will probably be a HotFix but it will take a few months.
