Reports: Chart plot area not printing from database

Hi Everyone,

I have a frustrating thing going on.
I have reports that display a chart. The chart and data display correctly. The chart and data output to pdf correctly.

However, if I print to ANY printer (other than print to pdf) from within the database, my chart plot area does not print. The axis labels and such print, but the plot area with the data will not print. If I print the pdf, everything prints correctly.

Does anyone have an idea to point me in the right direction? I have attached a couple of pics to show what I am talking about.

That was the first thing I thought. But it is set to "Always." But even so, when it's set to screen only the entire chart doesn't print, meaning border, axis, and everything. In this case, the plot area is the only thing not printing....

I'll have to spend some time cleaning the db out. It's quite entailed at this point.... Might be later this weekend.

Everything I have found online points to the entire object not printing or updating. In this particular case, it is just the plot area. The rest of the chart object prints fine. This happens when printing to 2 printers and a copier at work, so doubtful it's a printer/driver issue.

Weird part is, it only happens on printing directly to the printer. It shows fine in print preview; prints correctly in print to PDF (external printers), output to PDF through Access, etc. The printers print the PDF file fine. So far, it's just when printing from the database in print preview mode.

I will have to try it on another PC at work and see if it still happens. I also have to try printing it from report view instead of print preview.

While you are testing, try decompiling which will remove any corrupt code you may have

I do that religiously, but will do it then as well.

Yep. I always do that after major changes and/or long coding sessions.

I just wanted to update:
This appears to be confined to a Win 10 PC and not particularly an Access issue. If I print from my work laptop (Win7), everything prints as it should. I'll update further if I come up with a solution.
