Multiple Pivot Table on one Access From has empty dropdown box

    Hi,

I am new to Access and have started designing my database with assistance of video tutorials from the web, etc. My knowledge of VBA is basically based on what experts on the Web is showing me. I am however struggling to find a solution for the following problem:
    • I have a single form, on which I would like to have two PivotTables displayed, so that the user can compare one financial year results with another. The problem is not the adding of the PivotTables to the form, however when both PivotTables are on a single form, then only one PivotTable allow you to filter, as the second PivotTable filter options appears blank on the dropdown lists.

I have one Template from which the data is pulled, and have indeed created two queries for the two separate PivotTables as well.

In order to explain exactly what I stated above, I have attached a .png image of the problem.

I please need help or guidance on the above mentioned problem.

    Kind regards,

Before you proceed with this, are you aware that pivot tables were scrapped with Access 2013.
So even if you get this working in A2010, anyone with a newer version won't be able to use the feature.
Suggest using a different approach using two subfoms (subreports?) filtered to the appropriate year....or use a crosstab query as the data source for a subform summary

    Hi,

Many thanks for your quick response.

Unfortunately I was indeed not aware of this. I will definitely give the crosstab query a try.

    Kind regards,
