table design question

I have an assessment table with an assessment number, date, officer, dept, location. I need to design a second table called job planning that also has the assessment number with several questions and responses that relate to the same assessment number. How should I set up the relationship between the two? I will also need to create a form with the assessment table info and a subform with the job planning table that shows all the related questions and responses

I suggest you work through the tutorials at Roger's Access Library . Don't just watch, actually do......

Shouldn't take more that a couple of hours to do all 3.

I agree with Steve -- you will learn by working through the tutorials. Then try it with your own requirement. You'll find that in writing a clear, simple description of your business facts, you will identify your relationships.
