Spacing of Fields

Not a lot of experience with Access10, so I try to design this form and I can’t get the fields as close as I want. In the attached snips one is the Design View and I only see one field but I want to see all field (total 8). The other snip is from the Form and Layout View and I have this big vertical space between them. How can I reduce this space so the fields are close to each other?

You were looking in the right place, it is the Height property of the Detail section that you want to adjust by being slightly bigger than the Height property of the two textboxes.

Before I go any further perhaps I should ask for some guidance on the data base I want to make.

It’s a simple units converter I used at work back in the 90’s and I attach a snip of it. There are 3 columns of data on the snip, Subject (which I will not use), Category and the last column now shows Length. When you click any unit type in the categories column, the column at the right displays the required units (on the snip, the Length is clicked on the categories column and the next column shows all units related to length).

If I want to convert say 10 feet to meters, I click on the feet row where the 3.20 is now and type 10 and all units change to show the new conversion.

In the attached zipped db I have made all required tables and forms but I can’t think on how I can put it all together. It’s also possible the work I have done so far is not required because there is another way to do it?

I'm sure I remember you asking about this at another forum and getting several replies.
In fact I suggested you download one of the many very good and free converter utilities from the Windows store.
Why spend your time reinventing the wheel when you could be creating something else more useful?

I have not asked in any other Access forum but I asked in an Excel forum and the interface was not what I wanted.
This project is not only about making a units converter but it is also to practice and learn Access. I know there are many units converters out there but not as compact like the one I want to make.

I apologize for what I said before, yes it is me and the worst part is I did it earlier this month and I remember nothing about it. Perhaps as we age we don’t remember well but gush only just a few weeks ago?
