I am doing a database for a Free Store program at our church. In it I have Member ID's assigned one per family group. Then the database has Family ID's which assign a consecutive number to adults in family and one to children in family. I enter the family ID's as I enter data. Some way I accidentally jumped a thousand numbers so in one member family the adults are 1020 and the children which should be 1021 are 2021. This makes no difference in the needed data for the program but bugs me a lot. I record items received for children and adults by using the family ID so there is a relationship between the tables. Is there any way to correct the numbering in the items received table to match the family groups in that table without deleting all those records and starting again renumbering correctly? I made my error in December 2017 so would have to reenter all the monthly data since that time.
I now have Windows 10 Professional, Office 365, so Access has been made compatible.
